BLUSH - an eclectic postcard is an experimental surf video, born out of the attraction to the Caribbean.
It was conceived to break with the aesthetic boundaries of surf trips.

The design approach that was taken was inspired by the first computer art iterations froms in the 60’s and 70’s like John Whitney, James Whitney, Herbert Franke and Stan Vanderbeek.

Because the eclecticism of the Caribbean island where the movie was filmed, the graphics had to be organic, technologically linked with the first computer creations and smooth and elegant as surf.
The process consisted in shaping basic structures and modeling them in 3d, then animate it with the sound-track and coloring it according the followed scene tones.

These pieces meant to be an ode to the movement itself and a link between technological thought and organic feel of nature.
